Spring 2007 Dear Prospective Family, I want to warmly welcome you to Mulholland Middle School. We are delighted you have selected or are seriously considering Mulholland for your child. We know there are many middle school choices in the community available to your son or daughter. We at Mulholland Middle School want to be that choice! Mulholland Middle School provides a variety of academic programs including several for high-achieving and academically advanced students. These include the Gifted Program, School for Advanced Studies (SAS), and California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJFS) and National Honor Society Recognitions. This year we are planning and developing an Individualized Honors Program (IHP) to implement in 2007-2008. We also offer a wide variety of extra curricular enrichment programs anchored by Los Angeles All Stars (formerly Arnold’s All Stars). Two of our main academic goals are to have every student proficient and competent in the English Language and have been prepared in 6th and 7th grade to pass Algebra 1AB in the eighth Grade. Mulholland Middle School offers a rich, diverse student population whose parents share the same expectations – the best education for their children. Mulholland is a safe and secure school. Our commitment to your child’s physical well-being is as strong as our commitment to his or her academic achievement and well-being. We insist student behavior adheres to the highest standards. Choosing Mulholland as your local school creates other advantages for you as well. Our location in our attendance area not only makes it convenient to get your child to and from school, our location also allows parents to attend conferences more easily and to be involved in school events. Additionally, Mulholland offers neighborhood families the continuity of friendships nurtured through the elementary school years.
